2023-2024 Aquatics Leadership Program
Earn a HIGH SCHOOL CREDIT and work towards becoming a LIFEGUARD.
WHAT:
Students are eligible to earn high school credits as well as earning qualifications to be trained as a lifeguard certified to work anywhere in Canada. Students will earn (up to): Emergency First Aid, Standard First Aid + CPR + AED; Bronze Medallion & Bronze Cross Certification; National Lifeguard Program, Instructors* (not all at the same time).
WHO IS ELIGIBLE:
This program is open to all public, private, and Catholic school students. Some age restrictions will be enforced due to lifeguard certification guidelines. In order to be certified for the National Lifeguard Service (NLS), students must be 15 years old by the end of the course. However, prep courses can be completed at age 14. You must also be a strong swimmer.
